Gentle aligning for Pregnancy, Infants, Pediatric & Family
Dr. Rebecca has been a licensed Chiropractic professional for over a decade, supporting the body’s ability to heal itself. After the birth of two children with her husband, Justin, Dr. Rebecca gained a passion for providing care to pregnant women as well as adjusting newborns, infants, and children. She is Webster certified through the ICPA and uses a variety of techniques for her adjustments, including Non-Force adjusting, craniosacral therapy, sacro-occipital technique (SOT), Activator and Myofascial release. Muscle imbalances are addressed and strengthening of spinal muscles is taught, to provide longer-lasting alignment. Her techniques are gentle and specific, and she ensures the safety and comfort of patients, from the tiniest infant to eldest person.
Another way Dr. Rebecca loves to support her patients is through nutritional guidance and support. She loves guiding her patients to create a healthy foundation for both mother and child. This love for nutrition has led Dr. Rebecca to become a Science Based Nutrition practitioner, offering personalized supplement and lifestyle programs based on in-depth laboratory testing. The goal of the program is to help patients achieve optimal health. There are many success stories of improvement, even in the most severe conditions.
More about Dr. Rebecca: she earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic from SCU Health Sciences in Whittier, CA. Her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science was earned from PLNU in San Diego. While at PLNU, she successfully competed on a track scholarship and was a four-time NAIA All-American, in the Heptathlon and 4 by 400 sprint relay.
When choosing to work with Dr. Rebecca, you can be confident that she is dedicated to using her skills, experience, and education to promote optimal and balanced living, as well as committed to helping you achieve your health goals.
You have your car aligned and tuned, why not your body?
Your body’s alignment is important because…
Your body works because your brain communicates to your body through your spinal cord and out through nerve roots. EVERY nerve going to EVERY organ comes off of your spinal cord. Those nerves pass through very small openings at each spinal joint. If there is a bone out of place, this can affect the nerve going to or from any organ in your body.
Chiropractic is a profession that recognizes your body’s ability to heal itself, without the use of drugs or surgery. Dr. Bomgaars believes there should be a progression in healthcare. Modern medicine saves lives every day, but often our society jumps to extreme measures before giving your body a chance to heal with the ability it already has. The body’s healing capacity is incredible!

Myofascial release technique (MRT) is a soft tissue (muscles, fascia and more) mobilization technique used to help joints move correctly, release tension and decrease pain. Sports injuries respond well to this muscle work because often the body forms scar tissue (also known as fibrous tissue or an adhesion) from injuries, over training, surgeries, other trauma or even emotional or nutritional stress.
Scar tissue forms in soft tissue often after trauma. Articles to support this statement are cited below.

Non-Force Adjusting is used to align the bones so they are symmetrical. This gentle technique is a wonderful option for people leery of the popping noise. I still use my hands for this adjustment, and offer the popping option as well if my patients prefer it and if there are no contraindications. I do a thorough history and exam to make sure patients are safe for these treatment options.
